August 14, 2012: (PRESS RELEASE) A flag-hoisting ceremony was held this morning at the Embassy of Pakistan , Paris to celebrate Independence Day. The ceremony commenced with a recitation from the Holy Quran. As the national anthem was played, the Ambassador of Pakistan in France Mr. Shafkat Saeed hoisted the National Flag.
The Ambassador read out the message from the President while the Deputy Head of Mission read out the message from Prime Minister of Pakistan to mark the occasion. The Ambassador urged the gathering to renew its pledge to work towards the progress, prosperity and well being of Pakistan.
The ceremony was attended by a large number of the Pakistanis based in Paris and the Embassy officials along with their families.
